People’s Leasing yet again bagged two coveted awards at the “CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards – 2022”

People’s Leasing & Finance PLC (People’s Leasing), the leading non-bank financial solutions provider clinched two main awards at the : “CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards – 2022”, an awards ceremony dedicated to acknowledge the organizations preparing Integrated Reports.

The eighth edition of the annual event organized by the premier Management Accounting body in the country, The Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka, was held on 31st October 2022 at the Grand Marquee – Taj Samudra Hotel, Colombo.

“Linked” was the theme of the 9th Integrated Annual Report and emphasised the company’s strategy revolved around the mission to extend the brand in the most digitally advanced methods possible while also adhering to the fundamentals of sustainability.

The Annual Report 2021/22 of the Company bagged the “Best Integrated Report in the State Owned Enterprises/Companies: Finance & Leasing” category and the “Merit Award” at the “CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards – 2022”. Over the years, the recognition received at both local and international levels for the Annual Report reflects the Company’s continuous efforts to transparency, accountability and social responsibility in the Financial Reporting even under duress. This year’s awards are testimonial of the Company’s commitment to emulate the standards required.

People’s Leasing is a subsidiary of the People’s Bank, which is one of the largest state-owned banks in the country. Commencing operations in 1996 as a specialised leasing company, People’s Leasing was listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange in 2011. People’s Leasing is a financial powerhouse with six subsidiaries in allied areas of specialization including an overseas venture in Bangladesh.
