People’s Leasing wins another Prestigious Award at the CA Sri Lanka TAGS Awards 2022

People’s Leasing & Finance PLC (PLC), the award-winning financial solution provider in the Non-Bank Financial Institutions sector (NBFI), won a coveted Bronze Award at the CA Sri Lanka TAGS Awards 2022 held at Shangri-La, Colombo on 06th December 2022. The Annual Report 2021/22 of the Company secured the Bronze Award in the NBFI (Total Group Asset Above LKR 20 Bn) sector. The Annual Report of PLC’s continuing recognition, on a global and national level, is a reflection of the Company’s efforts to uphold social responsibility, accountability, and transparency in financial reporting.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) organised the TAGS Awards 2022, which is recognised as one of the most prestigious and established corporate events in the country among diverse business sectors. Commanding over 57 years of excellence and existence, CA Sri Lanka secured its quest for enhanced transparency, accountability, governance, and sustainability by re-conceptualizing and re-branding the highly prestigious Annual Report Awards at the TAGS Awards this year, marking a new chapter in corporate reporting in the country.

“Linked” was the theme of the 9th Integrated Annual Report and emphasised that the company’s strategy revolved around the mission to extend the brand in the most digitally advanced methods possible while also adhering to the fundamentals of sustainability.

People’s Leasing’s Annual Report 2021/22 was also recognised at the “CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards – 2022,” winning both the “Best Integrated Report in the State-Owned Enterprises and Companies: Finance and Leasing” category and the “Merit Award” at the CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards – 2022. Meanwhile, Annual Report 2020/21 clinched the “Certificate of Merit” for the year 2021 in the category “Financial Services Sector” at the SAFA Best Presented Annual Report Awards, Integrated Reporting Awards, and SAARC Anniversary Awards for Corporate Governance Disclosures Competition 2021.

People’s Leasing & Finance PLC is a leading Non-Bank Financial Institution in Sri Lanka and a subsidiary of People’s Bank, one of the largest State-owned banks in the country.
